ADAS, the UK’s leading environmental consultancy, has launched a new microsite to enable users to keep up-to-date with sector specific environmental news, announcements and events – and is giving away more than £2,000 worth of prizes to celebrate.

Launched in direct response to client demand, ADAS Plus, or A+, will complement the existing ADAS website with a comprehensive information-based research tool, enabling visitors to identify environmental news, comment and debate which is specific to their sector or areas of particular interest.

The microsite will be regularly updated by consultants, many of them leading experts in their field, with current news, legislation, ‘hot’ seasonal topics, white papers and a full calendar of environment-related events specific to each sector. All information is presented in an easily digestible, sector-specific format - keeping clients up-to-date but without bombarding them with irrelevant information.

Visitors can access information according to ADAS services, currently categorised into agriculture, water, land and vegetation, waste management and animal health and welfare (AHW), or choose from pages relating to their ‘community’ to read about particular issues and best-practice solutions relating to their sector. More services and communities will be added to the site over the coming months.

Currently featuring updates on leading ADAS projects and research, the microsite is still being uploaded with information and will soon also include related stories, events and legislative updates, along with an archive of white papers and key environmental publications.

Visitors will also have the option of registering for free in order to receive personalised updates, tailored to their sector, delivered directly to their inboxes. A full, quarterly update will be offered, along with ad-hoc email alerts with updates on key legislation and announcements.

Martin Buckland, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Environment Group at ADAS, explains: “There is an incredible amount of information available on the internet and it is a full-time job trying to keep up-to-date with news and events that are relevant to your sector. ADAS is responding to demand for a tool which can sift through this information and identify only the most important information and that which is likely to be of interest.

“The new A+ website does all the searching for you. Users can register so that they only receive information which is specific to their area of interest, as well as staying informed about the policy forming and leading research conducted by ADAS.”

To celebrate the launch of the new microsite, ADAS is running a competition with more than £2,000 worth of prizes available. Visitors who register on the microsite between the 1st May and the 12th June will automatically be entered into a free draw to win a prize of their choice.
